Charming House, Elounda

This wonderfully unique and pretty stone house is located in the traditional village of Kato Elounda, which is within short walking distance of the popular town Elounda, with it’s shops and beaches.

The house is in a very charming neighbourhood at the center of the picturesque village.

Renovated in traditional Cretan style, with stone and untreated wood as the main features.
It has beautiful rustic windows and doors, unique wooden ceilings and stone arches.

Externally, there is a stone floored courtyard with lounge, a spacious bathroom with shower and a metal staircase leading to the first floor terraces and bedrooms.

Internally, there is a rustic kitchen/dining room separated by an archway from the living room with a corner traditional fireplace and another exit to the front courtyard.
Next to this there is a single bedroom with ample storage space.

A wooden staircase from the dining area leads upstairs to a large double bedroom with a big fitted wardrobe in the hallway and an en-suite bathroom with bath.
Externally, there is a large terrace with stunning views of the village and the sea of Elounda. It has a shaded pergola (just outside the bedroom), a nice sunbathing area and a side terrace which leads to a 3rd separate bedroom with a bunk bed and window.

There are air conditioning units in the 1st floor bedrooms and a Solar panel for hot water.

The house is in excellent condition, can be lived in immediately and offers a perfect choice for holidays, rentals or permanent residence.

There are a few parking spaces near the house and the access is good.

Only a 3-minute drive to the centre of Elounda town where you can find all kinds of shops and amenities for your everyday needs as well as plenty of bars, cafeterias and some excellent restaurants.

Just a 15 minute drive to Agios Nikolaos, the province capital of Lasithi, and a 50 minute drive to the international airport of Heraklion.

Elounda was a small fishing town on the Mirabello Bay, on the island of Crete. Although fishing is still a large part of life in this very picturesque area, tourism has taken over as the main industry of Elounda. It is part of the municipality Agios Nikolaos. It is popular with European tourists and has many hotels including several 5*hotels. Elounda is also the closest town to the famous historic site of Spinalonga.

Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the county Lasithi and is located at the Mirabello Bay, north-east Crete, only 40 mins away from the international airport of Heraklion.

Geographically the town is well protected from strong winds allowing sea sports and swimming nearly all year round.

Although Agios Nikolaos has a population of less than 20,000 it has several banks, supermarkets, shops of every kind, doctors, a modern hospital of high standard, public swimming pool and tennis courts, yacht marina, harbour, cinema, theatre, gyms, a 9-hole golf course, schools ranging from nurseries to 6-level high school and generally all the amenities you would expect to find in a modern European town.
